Angel Tree

Children whose parent(s) are incarcerated need your help.  The Rio Grande Valley area has been a difficult area for these children who experience high risk circumstances and isolation as a result of poor decisions by their parent(s). 

Angel Tree is a program that has proven it's effectiveness to impact these children and break the cycle of crime.  One area coordinator shared with me how she was calling a family to get gift wishes when a little girl answered the phone.  She told the little girl that she was from Angel Tree and needed to speak to her mother.  She heard the phone drop and the child running through the house saying, "Mommy, it's the Angel Tree people!  I knew Daddy wouldn't forget me!"
